Church wounds

Although an oxi-moron, we all know the bitter truth- hurt people many times hurt other people… and it’s no different inside church walls. Even those professing to be ‘Born-again’ are found fighting others, even other believers. Politics get ugly. Toes are stepped on. You name it.

Does it have to be this way? In a way, yes. We’re human, even after we are truly saved. In 1 Corinthians 1:6-8, Paul addressed the congregation, discussing how they were suing each-other. So even in life way back when, in the apostles’ time, they didn’t always get along- things didn’t always go smoothly among the brethren.

But does it really have to be like it is now? The backbiting, the gossip, the unnecessary hurt? I would say resoundingly, “No”.

But sometimes it is like it is, no stopping or denying it. What do we do? Build brick walls? Wail and whimper our woes to all the world? How do we rest in Yah’s (God’s) perfect shalom (peace) when we’re so tore up? Rejections happen. Where do we turn?

We turn to Yah. That’s always the answer, isn’t it? He’s what this is all about in the first place, right? We absolutely must put our trust in Him, our protective Father. We must remember that what He says is true- of Himself, others, and us.

People can be wrong. People can be untrustworthy. People can be confusing. People can lack forgiveness. People can be rude. People can be sassy. People can be mean.

But Yah? No. None of that. He’s the ultimate picture of love. Yah is trustworthy -always. Yah is full of grace -always. Yah is full of forgiveness -always. Yah wants what’s best for us (even when it’s hard) -always.

We can move on. We do not need to add to everyone’s pain. No more gossip from us. Why add to the problem guys?

Now, I do highly encourage that you strengthen the bonds that remain. You may have left a Church, for any number of reasons, but still have friends back there. If they are safe and supportive, by all means, cling to that. Call them. Support each-other. Don’t leave ’em all hangin’!

So, trust Yah. Live as His child. Move on in your life, but learn from the past what you can. Carry on.

Shalom for now,

Yah’s girl

Do u know who u r?

SRSLY. No ROTFL. Don’t say LOL. Do u know who u r? Don’t EVEN say IKR (!?!)

Okay, I’ll stop. But we pretty much all know what kind of a world we live in. A scary, up-side down one. Where enemies seem to be everywhere. Trust is misplaced. Lives are lost. Pain is real.

Amidst the utter turmoil, we all yearn for love, acceptance, and fulfillment. We might look all over and around for these things, hoping to find them anywhere- even in shallow places.

We get confused. And often times, we don’t know who we are.

We get superficial. When offended, we just close ourselves off, or burn bridges, or just say lol or just move on – hoping to put a soft edge on our hurt and confusion, wishing life were easier, simpler, better…different.

When we are real, we heal.

We’re a mess. Life is brutiful (Stole that from a book). In one day, we have failures and successes. From which do we learn? What do we focus on?

If we have accepted Yah’s (God’s) love, and want to join His family, we can know who we are. His son. His daughter. His child. His creation.

We can not let this earth define us. We can’t let the enemy of our souls define us. We can’t let people define us. We can’t let our own feelings define us. We must let Yahuwah (God) define us!

Let His love and law be your compass in this trying world. Yah is with us.

Fight on, because Yah is for us!

Allegory chapter 4 – The reasons why

The reasons why

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve [Wise King] and mammon.” Mat_6:24

But thou, O man of [Wise King], flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.”

1 Timothy 6:11

“What’s the hurry, Uncertain One?” her mother asked. Blessed gem reached over to turn off the phonograph. But before she could, it quit, and the lights flickered off. “Oh, I see. Another storm starting. I hope it doesn’t bring a tornado! Well, no use trying to sew now. Though it is the middle of the day, I need good light, for my eyes are a bit dim, and it’s dark outside as well as in here! I’ll finish this later. Uncertain One, do you have anything on your mind? We can talk in the dark, at least!”

“Yes, yes, that would be fine.” Uncertain One settled down on the davenport for the chat. “Guessing you won’t mind, darling, I want to say a little about Pure.” Blessed Gem smiled. “Of course, Momma. We all know that it is indeed my biggest decision at hand. Let your words flow!”

“Okay then, dear. Now, I do think you are beginning to understand the importance of a love for Pure. Yet, I wish to relate to you a parable.” “Okay, Mom.”

“All right. There was once a girl who wanted to try her hand at bread-making. But she wasn’t sure just how to proceed, having no recipe or instructor. So she tried, with the ingredients she thought best. Well, she tried multiple times, with this and that; different combinations. But I tell you what, honey, she failed terribly each and every time! Oh, It was bad. She tried so very hard too. So, at last, she contacted an experienced Baker, and asked her to come to watch, to give tips. We’ll call the girl Baker A, the Experienced one being Baker B. Baker B. quickly noticed the problem. Out of sheer ignorance, Baker A. had left out flour!

“Mom! Flour? Who would do that?!” Uncertain was quite surprised.

“Uncertain One, we are all ignorant at times down here in this earth. Unlike those heavenly. But let me point out the lesson. Number one: If Baker A. had asked for help or an opinion earlier, she could have saved time, stress, and resources. Which, thankfully, you are doing. Keep it up, ask us anything please. Number two, just like flour in bread, you must have love in a relationship for it to last OR be happy. It IS of core importance!”

Uncertain was very thoughtful. “Mom”, she said: “That makes sense. You’re right. It would be just as crazy, just as ridiculous, to leave love out of my marriage to Pure, as it would be to leave flour out of a bread recipe. Actually, maybe even crazier!!”

“If He let me marry Him without a love for Him, I would not last long. We would no last long. Though He loves me as much as He ever could, even then, if I did not love Him, the relationship could not… well, would not work. If I did not truly love Him, Mom, I could end up cheating Him, leaving, lying about Him… it could end awfully, and it would all be because of me! Love is the tying bond. What else could hold me to Him? A marriage without love is an ocean with no water!” Uncertain One had to gasp for breath at this point.

Even though the power was out, her heart was growing light. We leave her there, thinking.

Our lives have meaning – a poem –

We sit
We think
We cry
We smile
We help
We hurt
We wave
We sigh
And we die

What is the meaning? What’s really real?

Everything has meaning. That girl you smiled at and she simply glanced away? She was going to commit suicide. But then you smiled. She didn’t know how to respond, surprised you might really care. But you saved her life. That dog you saw get hit, that you kissed before it slipped away. It felt your love. Love for the first time in it’s meager little life of sorrow and hunger. Your touch was not in vain.
Listen, you never know the extent of your impact. But Yah does, and He knows your desire to help. Hear this: He sees your secret compassionate tears for your country, your heartbreak for the homeless, your utter joy in that child’s smile.

So smile.

God formed you and molds you. Our each heartbreak He feels and heals. He’s coming again.

So smile.

The time to focus on forever…My Bride My King chapter 3

3 The time to focus on forever

[Wise King] shall reign for ever and ever.Exodus 15:18

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the [Wise King], choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the [Wise King].” Joshua 24:15

Uncertain One has had her future’s opportunities set before her, and she now looks at the separate decisions she could make, and why.

We join her the morn following the day of her visitors, and  eventful town trip.

-Uncertain One dreams a terrible dream.-

In her dream, she had married Pure. A good start! But He had accepted Her to His home, without her loving Him. He was good and kind, yet she…miserable. He, of course, had rules. With complete and true love for Him, she’d have been happy to keep the rules and regulations. After all, they were for her own good. She did try to do things perfectly, but she was not glad. In present state, she was legalistic, but still not doing all things right.  Frustration was always under the surface. She simply couldn’t be perfect!Which Pure knew.

It was her heart problem. She wanted to LEAVE! To leave and be HAPPY! Make her own choices. Since it was not love that bound her, she felt sick. Yes, at Pure’s city, New Jerusalem, all was to be peace and joy. All people, including her should be Happy!

Then, angry, she’d jumped the wall!1 Which consequently awoke her. For, truly, she had rolled out of bed and stubbed her toe. Which kept her awake for a while. Thinking. Which was good.

She knew Pure would not take her home if she did not agree. So she knew her dream could not come true. Yet, she was glad for that horrid dream. It made her come to terms with her self, and her level of love.

But now it was morning. She smelled apple pie, which was something she loved. Only she was not as pleased as usual. Uncertain One was simply… well… uncertain. She was confused. And, she felt like she had a whole pie, simply plastered to her face. Ugh!

Well, she, (though hardly knowing what she was doing!) got ready for her day. Staring at nothing, she started “doing the motions”. Hairbrush. That’s what I need. I now move it through my hair…done. O.K. Where’s a washcloth for my face?…She made her way to the kitchen once she was finished with her early morning routine.

“Hi, Mom.” Uncertain One said. “Hey, girly! What’s up this fine morning? You don’t look too peppy, hun.” “Aw, Mom!” She exclaimed. “I’m just still confused about Pure, is all.” Her mother again replied: “I know a couple who may be able to help, possibly more than I. I hope you won’t mind, I’ve invited them for breakfast. You ARE boggled, huh?”

“Yes, Mom, I suppose.” “Well, dear”, Blessed Gem continues, “Maybe pie will cheer you up. But I hope, and have been praying, their visit will help you. A whole lot longer than pie!” They both had to laugh.

Uncertain One continued. “Seriously though, Mom!”. Uncertain One smiled, then frowned. “Think they will help? What’s their names again? Or do I already know them? How long have you known them? Have you…” Blessed Gem cut her off. “Whoa there, child! Enough! Of course they will help…if you hear and obey their counsel. I hope you do; they are Pure’s followers, and His voice on earth. 1

His name is Obedient, and her name is Truthful. You have met them. Both of them came for the Sabbath meal sometime last year. And so, yes, we have known them for years.”

Bring. Ring. Bring. “Oh! That has got to be them now! Please get the dishes for the table, darling. Hurry!”

See Revelation Chapters 19-22

-During the meal-

“How lovely!” Obedient said, in a deep, kind voice. “I love this apple pie!” Cried Truthful. “Thank-you, both.” Blessed Gem said, smiling. “But please. Proceed to business! Uncertain One is anxious.” She glanced at Uncertain One. “Yes I am, Sir Obedient and Madam Truthful!” Uncertain One chimed in, excitedly. Both of Uncertain One’s parents smiled, glad their daughter was so interested in their company’s wise words.

Obedient, at one end of the table, replied; “Well, you see, Uncertain One, it goes like this: As you know, it IS important to obey rules. But love makes you do this with joy! It’s the order, really. Do you obey because you love, or do you try to love by obeying? Let me give you an example.” He paused.

“Yes, Sir?” Uncertain One was a bit impatient. “Well, as we all know, you help your parents out, and as well, they gives you rules. Do you keep them? Greater yet, do you do it willingly, with joy? Combined, do you help and obey out of love?” Obedient gasped for breath. 1James 1:22-26.

“Whew! That was quite a large number of questions! But yes, I guess. To all the questions!” Uncertain One replied. She truly loved her dear family. Obedient sat back in His chair.

Truthful, seated beside her husband Obedient, took another slice of pie, and took a bite. “Lovely, Blessed Gem!” She paused, staring at Uncertain One. Then she solemnly replied; “Uncertain One, it can be just like that with Pure. If you obey Him, but yet do not love Him, well…It just would not work. You would not only be legalistic, Pharisaical, and hypocritical, but you would be miserable!”

However, if you obey because you love, the love being the main point, you can scarcely go awry.

“Oh, Obedient, Truthful! I know this to be true!” Uncertain One exclaimed. Excitedly she related her dream from the night before, which still lingered quite vividly.

After hearing the dream related, The couple smiled, knowingly. “You don’t want it to end like that, do you, Uncertain One?” Obedient asked. Uncertain One thought for a moment. “No, Sir Obedient. I guess not. No, ABSOLUTELY NOT. I MUST change!” She looked at the  lovely folks around her, grasping intensely for some hope, or peace.

Blessed Gem says; Darling Uncertain One, that isn’t how it works. You must change, yes, but not by your might or power or will. You must surrender your will and ways to Him.

“It will be a long process.” Truthful was speaking. “But I can see you are willing to learn! Yet I must warn you, Uncertain One. When you have journeyed a way more, and you love Pure with all your heart, beware of another plight. The enemy of our souls seeks whom he may devore any way he possibly can. You mustn’t boast or be haughty because of your achievements, for everything you do is from Pure and Wise King’s power.”1

Obedient joined in. “Hark! That would spoil you! Think of dear Wishfully Above. I believe she acquired her situation through being a mite proud. Now, she has rather degraded herself, in such aspects as haughtiness, and she is also legalistic, indeed. I feel right-down sorry for her. I’ll visit her next.” 1Micah 6:8,Jeremiah 9:23,24, Proverbs 15:33

Blessed Gem, entering the conversation again, says: “Obedient, we too know of her. It is sad. For Her, Pure’s name… may she yet turn ’round. Uncertain One, please, learn from her grave mistakes. We must encourage towards the path to freedom. ”

Truthful nodded in agreement. Obedient continued.

“Of course, it will be okay for you to be glad for where you have come. Simply watch yourself to not be prideful, haughty and the like. You may be glad for your completed work. This is fine. And you will be rewarded of Pure. You remember, you get a trophy after a race!” He quoted; “Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.”1 Corinthians 9:24

Truthful then responded, saying: “Uncertain One, on another topic, you must remember that, concerning rules and laws, you will get mercy from Pure. But not to encourage messing up on purpose!” They all laughed. “He and Wise King will discern whether or not your motives are pure. they see into the depths of your heart clearly. If you don’t mend your ways, justice must follow. Also, Pure is ready and willing to help you obey, but you must allow Him.”2 Micah 6:8 Revelation 3:20

“Along with this, you will need wisdom. His word, and faith in Him, supplies this. But you must also ask for it. “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”3 Wise King is all wise!”4

Uncertain One thought a moment, then declared;

“I want to embark on this journey with Pure, with you giving me counsel. But, please, what else is in store? What awaits me?” Blessed Gem sighs, knowing her daughter has many a surprise in store. “Uncertain One, my darling child. There is much. Once you have decided to follow Wise King and Pure as your Kings, many things will follow. And not all will be easy, either. And remember to read Pure’s letters”

3James 1:5 + 42 Samuel 14:20, Psalms 111:10, Proverbs 1:7, 2:6, 3:13, 9:10 & 16:20, Isaiah 33:6, Ephesians 1:17 & Colossians 3:16

Truthful nodded. Obedience spoke; “Yes, Uncertain One, I’m afraid it’s not all pleasant, indeed. This trip you are beginning is not blissful.”

Blessed Gem joined in again: “When people find out that you are loyal to Pure (He is NOT popular everywhere) you could very well be betrayed by friends and acquaintances, even harassed needlessly. You may even be killed for Pure’s sake. But, if so, He would raise you up on His pure time-table! He has that power from His Father. Both He and His Father hold this power, and Pure utilizes it when his Father bids. But you must withstand all! One of Pure’s followers states; “Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of [Wise King]; that [Wise King] is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.”11James 5:11 & 1 Timothy 6:14,15, Revelation 7:14-17 & 19:16

“He will watch over you, me, everything that happens, everywhere. He will grieve with you in your troubles (He has known grief), rejoice with you in your happiness, and encourage you when nothing seems to be working.”2 Then Blessed Gem, arising, said: “I will be back speedily.”  2Isa_53:3 Isaiah 53:10 Psalm 71:21

Uncertain One shifted in her seat to face Truthful. “That’s partly why I need to love Him, So as to be willing to live…suffer…and perhaps die for Him, correct?” She winced, still scarcely wanting to think of the consequences, if she did follow Pure’s lead.

“This is true, Uncertain One. Yet, that is not the complete picture. Very true, you must love Him, and be willing to give even your life for Him. But you mustn’t lose sight of this: He first loved you!”

Blessed Gem re-enters, bringing steaming mugs of tea.

“How lovely!” they exclaim in chorus. They chuckle. Uncertain One then continues; “Could y’all please relate to Momma our conversation? I’m Busy. May I please have a straw?”

The statement; Don’t believe everyone

Breakfast being finished, and all the chores done, Blessed Gem sent her daughter to the market to buy some eggs. “Here’s the money, Uncertain One. Be gone with you now dearest.”

Uncertain One meandered into town, still deep in thought. Once she arrived in town, she ventured over to Brave and Sure Jewel’s shop. Although small, it was well kept up. Quaint.

“Greetings again, Sure Jewel! I’ve come to buy some eggs. I sure like your petite shop here in town.” “Well, thank you, Uncertain one.” Sure Jewel replied.

“But back to you, Uncertain One. I know I saw you only this morn, but what think you of our discussion?” “Ah, Sure Jewel. I know not what to think.” Uncertain one replied, her gaze falling. Whispering now; “I have not even MET Him. I mean, I don’t know, He’s very likeable. But yet, you KNOW He asks of me my whole LIFE, do you not?!” Sure Jewel smiled sadly.

Brave entered the conversation. He whispered also, gently saying; “Oh, Uncertain One. You indeed have much to learn. You marrying Him would indeed say you are willing to give your life to Him. But He would thus say the same thing by marrying you! Has not he already given up Himself? By this gesture of asking your hand in marriage, wanting to know you personally (Although He has always known all about you1), and everything else He is doing, He is showing you He’s already decided something. That He will give His all for you, forever. What do you say, Uncertain One?”

“Oh, uh, I-I’ll think about it. Thanks for the advice. I’ll take the eggs and be on my way, however. Thank-you and good-bye.”

Brave stood up, revealing his stature all the more. He looked at Uncertain One with kind, strong eyes. “Peace to you from our King Uncertain One. You’ll be in our prayers!”

The words of truth spoken by her wise friends shook her up, and began additional wheels turning, in her already churning mind.

With mere moments to collect her thoughts as she strolled home-wards, Uncertain One passed an UN-apologetic, stuck-up one. Wishfully Above was an elderly woman, with a hunched back. She always wore a black shawl. No one quite understood the thin spectacle of life, but they knew one thing: she was a cunning soul, indeed. She was well known the town over.

In her loud, straight forward way, she began her spiel. “Greetings, Uncertain One! I bear tidings of JOY! I hear you are sending letters to some perfect lad you met, who lives quite far from here. Hu, most ladies of this town marry their own kind.” Uncertain One grimaced. “Yes, I know. And they live a lifeless life. They don’t usually show love, Wishfully Above! It seems to be torture, the way I look at it!”

Wishfully Above sighs. She continues her speech. “Yes, yes, yes. Well, let me continue, child. You know it is quite normal for one to love those who love them. Quite common, indeed, yes?”. Uncertain One replies, almost mumbling under her breath, saying, “Yes, there’s just not much love around here at all, though. That’s how it should be, nevertheless.”

“Oh, but Uncertain One, you should know it is simply not so with this gentleman, Pure that you know. Just so long as you strictly obey His every command to the tittle, He’ll welcome you to His beautiful home. Oh no, you don’t need to love Him one bit!”

Uncertain One was thinking during all this; Around here you don’t need to love any one. Only those who know Pure love anyone. Wishfully Above is WRONG! Love is good. And we don’t have it around here! I just don’t know how to give it, truly. Her parents and friends had shown her what true love for another is, but she was still learning how to extend it herself.

Uncertain One spoke. “But, but- I wouldn’t want our marriage to BE like everyone else’s around here! Don’t you understand? People’s marriages around here are dry- they’re lifeless!” Uncertain One tried to calm herself. “Forgive my hasty speech. How could this be, Wishfully Above?”

Even though she did not love Pure, she knew, deep inside, she should. And she wanted to.

“Ah, you are wrong, child. There are no buts about it. No questions to be asked. I am smart. I know. I have many years behind me, you know. Went to school, too, even though not many girls did when I was a young lass. No need to worry, you ARE fine as you are. No love needed, no guilt pleaded!” She chuckled. “Simply keep your obeying skills shiny, shiny, shiny, that’s all.”

Uncertain One groans silently and replies. “Wishfully Above, I thank you for your input, really, but I see your case! No need to draw it out further, please. I shall see you… another time.” She turned around abruptly, ready to get home.

Haughtily, Wishfully Above exclaims: “Well! At your insistence I’ll go! But mind you, I’m smart. I know. Don’t get off track, young lady! Good-bye!!!”

Officially parting ways, Uncertain One faintly echoes “Good-bye”.

After helping Blessed Gem with the day’s washing, Uncertain One finally told her parents about her trip to the market. Her Father spoke gently, but firmly; “Uncertain One, you must be careful on your journey to find love for Pure. Some people, if they do not know Him, don’t understand, and can’t really help you. Other persons are in your situation. They can encourage you, but not bring you closer to your goal. If, Uncertain One, you have a goal…” He raised one eye brow slightly, gazing upon his daughter questioningly, but kindly.

“Oh Father! You are wise! But all I know is I want to get out of this mess! You are right, I don’t have a goal yet. I don’t know whether or not to serve and love Him. My heart says “Perhaps”. My mind says “How can I?”. I know I must weigh the balances!” Her mother says; “Yes, Uncertain One, yes.” She so wanted to lift her daughter’s burden, but knew Uncertain One must work through her own confusion.

“It’s getting late my child. It is nigh eventide. Sweet dreams dear.”

“I shall try Mother; Father. But my mind races. I doubt my sleep will be very peaceful. I love you both.”

Uncertain One patted off to her room. Her parents glanced at each other. Strong Believer spoke. “She is a smart little lady. But she needs Wise King’s and Pure’s holy spirit to guide her. Let us kneel in prayer.” “Yes, my love.” Blessed Gem smiled slightly.

“Our kind, all-knowing Father, Wise King, we praise You for Your grace, and thank You for Your power. Thank You for this day and our daughter, Uncertain One. We now ask that you give Your spirit to our daughter, Uncertain One. She can not see her path alone. Deep-down, she knows what is right, but she knows not how to do right, Father. Let her meet Your Son one day, as we have. Let us all worship you in spirit and in truth. We await Your return. Give us faith during this time. Praise to you. HalleluYah.”

Coronavirus- to be or not to be scared, that is the question…

Should we be scared about the Coronavirus? It’s spreading, if that’s what you mean. It’s much smaller than the flu so far, if that’s what you mean. We have Yah (God) with us if that’s what you mean. Read on and weigh the scales.

The American Center for Disease Control (CDC) states about COVID-19 that there have been 1,215 cases in the United States, 36 deaths, and that these people live in 43 jurisdictions- 42 states, and the District of Columbia. (Includes both confirmed and presumptive positive cases reported to the CDC since January 21, 2020. That is, with the exception of people repatriated to the USA from Japan, Wuhan, and China. Also, local and state public health departments are making their own tests and reports on cases, so the CDC says that if there seems to be a difference in information from the CDC compared with the local/state departments, the local/state depts. are to be considered more up to date.) Source

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), originally called Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) according to the NY times, actually started back in 2019. But the first situation report was posted by the WHO on January 21, 2020.

According to the World Health Organization’s(WHO’s) Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) Situation Report –52, As of March 12, 2020, there have been 3,173 deaths in China, and 1,440 elsewhere (in multiple countries/territories (117), and on the cruise ship Diamond Princess). For the entire earth, then, this totals 4,613 deaths. Yesterday there had 4292 deaths.

It appears China has it off the worst over all, but that the rest of the world is getting “sicker quicker”; see the Situation Report -52 here.  Altogether (In & out of China),  there are 125,048 confirmed cases of the virus. This is scary.

According to the CDC, in 2017 the suicide statistics are as follows.;

All suicides

With 183 countries listed, the United States comes in number 27, according to the “world population review” website. See also W.P.R.’s source, W.H.O. Note: these two links list the USA per 100,00 as 15.3. According to the WHO site, this is apparently from 2016. So, if I am reading that correctly, we’re making progress. 😀

So, we compare (In 2017) over 47,000 deaths in the United States due to suicide, as compared to 4,613 COVID-19 deaths for the entire earth. Perhaps we need to just wash our hands and focus on mental health and family values….

Here is a really good article posted on the CNBC website, written by Jessica Bursztynsky on February 3, 2020; The flu has already killed 10,000 across US as world frets over coronavirus.

An excerpt of the article reads;

“In the U.S., it’s really a fear based on media and this being something new,” Dr. Jennifer Lighter, hospital epidemiologist at NYU Langone Health, said of the new coronavirus. “When in reality, people can take measures to protect themselves against the flu, which is here and prevalent and has already killed 10,000 people.”

The coronavirus outbreak, however, is proving to be more deadly than the flu. It has killed roughly 2% of the people who have contracted it so far, according to world health officials. That compares with a mortality rate of 0.095% for the flu in the U.S., according to CDC estimates for the 2019-2020 flu season. The CDC estimates that 21 million people will eventually get the flu this season.”

Under the “Key Points:” section, the CDC website (link for flu-related page I’m quoting) states that “CDC estimates that so far this season there have been at least 34 million flu illnesses, 350,000 hospitalizations and 20,000 deaths from flu.”

So, there are dangers in the world. Scary viruses, confusing political schemes, sad family situations…you name it. We just need to cast out fear in Yah’s name and live in His love, trusting Him. We need to take precautions and play it safe….but lets not all get OCD either. 😉
