Our lives have meaning – a poem –

We sit
We think
We cry
We smile
We help
We hurt
We wave
We sigh
And we die

What is the meaning? What’s really real?

Everything has meaning. That girl you smiled at and she simply glanced away? She was going to commit suicide. But then you smiled. She didn’t know how to respond, surprised you might really care. But you saved her life. That dog you saw get hit, that you kissed before it slipped away. It felt your love. Love for the first time in it’s meager little life of sorrow and hunger. Your touch was not in vain.
Listen, you never know the extent of your impact. But Yah does, and He knows your desire to help. Hear this: He sees your secret compassionate tears for your country, your heartbreak for the homeless, your utter joy in that child’s smile.

So smile.

God formed you and molds you. Our each heartbreak He feels and heals. He’s coming again.

So smile.

Your Personal Purpose

Some words to a Jewish song “One Day”, go like this; “Sometimes I lay under the moon and thank God I’m breathing. And  then I pray, “Don’t take me soon, cause I am here for a reason.””.

This is reminiscent of Mordecai’s words to Esther, “Perhaps you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this.”

We need not fear death with our purpose fulfilled. A boy once asked His Father why one of their family’s cows must die. “Son, this cow was born to feed us. He has lived a good life, we’ve treated him well. Once he is in the freezer, his life’s mission will be accomplished. His life fulfilled.

We are all created differently, with a specific purpose, with a goal we are bound to obtain, with Yahuwah at our side.

Yahusha the Saviour was born on earth to save the human race. Esther was born to save the Hebrews, her people, from the hate filled man, Haman – and his intended fate for them. Moses was born to free the Israelites from Egyptian bondage.

Does this mean that we are all going to do something huge? No; plus, pride shouldn’t be a part of our lives. (Not that I have room to talk.)

Cain didn’t save the world, although he was martyred. Thomas the disciple didn’t really get famous. Jonathan didn’t either, compared to David. So many patriarchs and Pastor’s wives have gone un-noticed, but have done their part to weave a legacy of truth and love – like Dorcas.

Small things are big too. For some of us, our mission is grand. Maybe we are the Thomas Paine of our day to inspire the masses. Or maybe we are the David Livingstons to spread the gospel far and wide. Perhaps we are the Esthers,  Gandhis, or Corrie Ten Booms, to free our country men.

Or maybe we are the Cains. We are not famous, at least in our day. Not a big figure. But still extremely important. Maybe you’re a Father or a Mother. You may not go down in history, but you will have greatly impacted someone’s life, perhaps giving them the ultimate gift – of knowing Yahuwah and Yahusha.

conquerors

What is your purpose?

Is your mission to help inner-city kids? To save helpless animal’s lives, and volunteer at an animal shelter? Maybe to reach out to homeless people and give them hope.  Maybe it’s your goal to be a missionary to North Korea (God knows they need them!). Or, to be a missionary right where you are?

Maybe you’re meant to speak out about people’s rights in your area. The right of choice about vaccines. About the rights of the unborn.

This is a time for action. This is the 1770s again.

Whatever your mission is, strive for it. Don’t give up. Listen to God, not to people. Work even when you are not appreciated, because Yahuwah always sees you. He should be why you’re really doing anything anyways. Push through the dry, boring patches. Life, and service, is not always fun and enjoyable.  Maybe you can’t even tell you’re doing anything. But there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Hope. Your life has meaning. You are special.

As the Bible says; “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.”  Ecc. 9:10

Pray. Find your passion, your reason for living. And go for it. Change someone’s world. MOVE. ACT.

To mis-quote Thomas Paine; (original quote)

THESE are the times that try men’s souls. The summer Bible-believer and the sunshine activist will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their world and God; but he that stands by it now, deserves the love and thanks of Yahuwah, man, and woman. Sin and hate, like hell, are not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph.

Reach out to others (near you)

Sometimes I get really frustrated; kinda weighed down. About the world’s problems. I ask myself “What can I do?“.

I think about my goal of being a missionary. About wanting to help homeless people. About wanting to tell my fellow Americans about the wonderful love of Yahuwah. I think about the children and all people harmed by domestic abuse/violence. I think about the people who have lived through extreme wars, like in Bosnia. I think about people who have been harmed by their government. About misinformed people. I think about the Native Americans, the way they were treated and all the information about their culture they’ve lost. About mistreated animals. I think about all the American Veterans and all the teenagers who commit suicide every day.

That’s a lot to think about. Too much. Like I said, I get overwhelmed.

But these problems are real. How do I deal with them; how do I help?

First of all, I need to remember that Yahuwah (God) is in charge. So I can leave it in His hands. Just give it to Him. He made everyhting.

Secondly, I need to think about my circle of influence. I can worry all I want about problems in Zimbabwe, but (not being rich and being the kind that wants to see who I am helping) I may not be able to do a lot of good. That is, I am not going to Zimbabwe, and I don’t want to send money blindly. So what can I do?                                                                  Let’s talk about what my circle of influence means- Basically, “Who around me do I have the most influence on?” My influence should start very close, in my family and co             Here is an example – If I want organic food growers to thrive, I may not be able to lobby for them in Congress, or anything ‘big’. (Out of my circle of influence.) But I can try to buy & eat organic foods (preferably from my own neighbors), which funds these growers. (Within my circle of influence.)                                                                                               So, that all basically to say… Maybe I should go to comfort my neightbor who is a domestic abuse survivor, rather than travelling an hour to volunteer for an organization. Now, volunteer organizations are great. I myself volunteer at them. But how much better to work with people or animals super close to home? (I have to travel 1/2 an hour or an hour to volunteer at an organization).                                                                                                   It’s a lot less overwhelming when you concentrate on the problems near you. And you may actually be able to do more good, too.

We can’t just think about helping! I can sit here all afternoon yearning for things to change. But how can I expect them to if I never lift a finger? Can I then blame everybody else?!

We may not be able to do things we think of as “big things”. But our Saviour Yahusha did “Little things” – he held children on His knees, He sat among normal people telling stories. Maybe we are called to little things. (Which can really be pretty big). Maybe we are called to do big things (But need to do little things for practice first?) What I’m saying is; if all you can do is a little thing, do it. That’s way better than waiting for the big thing to come by and call your name.

Ideas: Maybe you want to lift people’s spirits. Give the cashier a compliment. Sing a Patriotic song at a restaraunt. Pick up stray animals. Give the homeless guy a sandwhich. Visit your neighbors- the ones you’re used to avoiding.

Be the change you wanna see.

A thank you to every American Veteran and all volunteers!

Who is America? pt. 1

Wow, I like series I guess! But I reckon it’s because things are so complex!

Well, I’m afraid it is pretty complicated.

The media -specifically television- seems to wish us to think many americans [Especially democrats, lol!] are evil people; Instead of the amazing men and women many of us are. That is, they point out the evil, ignoring the good.

To warn you, I’m gonna first discuss one of America’s problems. Discusion of the good begins @ the blue words. 🙂

Going to a free concert -in a large city, no less- on my way in, I was stopped; my bag searched. Privacy like really infringed!! I mean, it wasn’t even a frisk. But this is a theatre!? I felt very uncomfortable, however; after muttering an in-audible “Why?!”, I quietly said “oh, o.k.”. Which means I “willingly” gave my rights away.

However, after researching it, at this point it seems it was legal- because the searchers were not government-employed. Looking into it a little, the police, etc. need either a “probable cause” or “reasonable, articuable suspicion” to search you. Or a warrant. Also, your permission -implied or stated- gives them that “right”.

But these were security guards- ‘Legally’ the 4th amendment does NOT apply to them. That is, if you come to my house, I can search you, your car, your purse… I see how I have that right to keep myself safe, especially on my property. But, yo, you have the right to refuse! So I am allowed to search other people’s property. (How often is that necessary??)

Yes, they would have the right to say “Oh, I’d rather leave than to be frisked.” Whether it be for privacy issues or because they harbor an actual threat, it’s their right to leave!! As I assume I could have done at the concert- “Sir, please stop searching me. I’d rather leave. It’s my rightful choice. Have a good day now.”

But I put myself in a place where I was meeting folks inside, and so thought I had better go in… Real thinking, planning and purpose are important in a free place.

Once inside, they then played the National Anthem. I was disgusted. I love my fellow americans. However, I do not appreciate being searched. Searching innocent people is NOT patriotic…

I will get back to problems in a later post. Just let me say-

sanity is insanity.

I.E., we live in a virtual reality. I know it sounds crazy. But BTW- Most anything new does sound crazy!

But that is merely the dark side. Those security guards are not the representation of America at it’s best. They may be fine people. However, their job isn’t good American action (In my mind.). Not the heart of the true America- The America that should be. There is bountiful proof of incredible Americans across our beautiful nation.

Riding home with my family from a [FREE:)] horse back ride from a lady a few towns away, we encountered a car crash. Yup, we all see it. Discombobulated cars, totaled trucks. Police running around, an ambulance coming up behind us.

But after a few seconds, we realized it just happened.

We -all four of us- got out. It was a two-car crash. There was a teen walking around, dazed. His younger brother, Aiden*, lay on the road- the older boy, Jonathan (the driver) had pulled him out. My Mom and Jonathan pulled Jonathan’s father, Simon, from the car. He was awake, but very delirious. The Mom, Abby, stayed seated. Jonathan had cut her seat belt off her, my Mom tied a shirt around Abby’s bleeding foot. Abby’s Mother was wedged between the back and front seats. My Grandma being a nurse, told everyone to leave her still. When the EMTs arrived, they removed her. The bleeding began all over again. Turns out every bone in her body was broken.

Over at the other car involved in the crash, a lady- Tonya- was leaning on the side of the car. She was the sole occupant of that car. A few involved, we got her laying down. Looking for her phone for her, I found a few Bibles in her car, and proceeded to read a few verses. We later found out her hip had been broken.

We stayed there working; all over the road. Six were involved in the crash, all harmed. (Sadly, Abby’s Mom since died. Prayers always for their family.) We, along with other “normal folk” aided for two hours- until the last was taken away in an ambulance. It took about an hour for the state troopers to arrive. The fire/rescue men came a little before, maybe 20 to 40 minutes after us. It took, re-iterating it, TWO HOURS for the second ambulance to arrive. Thanks, system. (All the Troopers did, basically, was act smart, ask questions, spray marks on the road, and write stuff down. Thanks I guess. Good stuff for records. No help physically to the folks…)

Yet, amidst all the blood, all the pain, all the grief -humans helped humans. About fourteen ‘normal folks’ (and around the same number of gov. employed personnel & volunteer firemen) aided those in dire need. People took to task. Did what they had to do. I was scared; wasn’t always sure what to do; even hesitant. Coulda done more. But I helped. It was hard; sometimes I was kind of frozen, not sure what to do. But, from the idea of another, I sang- praise Yahuwah. It soothed both the ‘victims’ and their helpers.

Tonya likely caused the crash. We did not care. We wanted her safe, along with everybody!

However,

One woman (maybe) caused it. Nearly 30 folks pitched in.

Does that say anything?! 😀

Americans care. Americans help when it’s hard. We rise above circumstances.

Don’t forget that.

Bye for now,

-Yah’s girl

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” KJV

Could it be the world is flat, up is actually down, fiction is reality? Since the beginning of time the human experience has witnessed spiritual battle on a political battlefield.

Do not be deceived. Nothing is as it seems and most Americans have little understanding of the growing nature of evil which surrounds us.
Fight the good fight!

Seek out Yah. Seek out truth. And stand for it.

If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything.

Relight the lamp of liberty!!
