Do u know who u r?

SRSLY. No ROTFL. Don’t say LOL. Do u know who u r? Don’t EVEN say IKR (!?!)

Okay, I’ll stop. But we pretty much all know what kind of a world we live in. A scary, up-side down one. Where enemies seem to be everywhere. Trust is misplaced. Lives are lost. Pain is real.

Amidst the utter turmoil, we all yearn for love, acceptance, and fulfillment. We might look all over and around for these things, hoping to find them anywhere- even in shallow places.

We get confused. And often times, we don’t know who we are.

We get superficial. When offended, we just close ourselves off, or burn bridges, or just say lol or just move on – hoping to put a soft edge on our hurt and confusion, wishing life were easier, simpler, better…different.

When we are real, we heal.

We’re a mess. Life is brutiful (Stole that from a book). In one day, we have failures and successes. From which do we learn? What do we focus on?

If we have accepted Yah’s (God’s) love, and want to join His family, we can know who we are. His son. His daughter. His child. His creation.

We can not let this earth define us. We can’t let the enemy of our souls define us. We can’t let people define us. We can’t let our own feelings define us. We must let Yahuwah (God) define us!

Let His love and law be your compass in this trying world. Yah is with us.

Fight on, because Yah is for us!

Coronavirus- to be or not to be scared, that is the question…

Should we be scared about the Coronavirus? It’s spreading, if that’s what you mean. It’s much smaller than the flu so far, if that’s what you mean. We have Yah (God) with us if that’s what you mean. Read on and weigh the scales.

The American Center for Disease Control (CDC) states about COVID-19 that there have been 1,215 cases in the United States, 36 deaths, and that these people live in 43 jurisdictions- 42 states, and the District of Columbia. (Includes both confirmed and presumptive positive cases reported to the CDC since January 21, 2020. That is, with the exception of people repatriated to the USA from Japan, Wuhan, and China. Also, local and state public health departments are making their own tests and reports on cases, so the CDC says that if there seems to be a difference in information from the CDC compared with the local/state departments, the local/state depts. are to be considered more up to date.) Source

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), originally called Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) according to the NY times, actually started back in 2019. But the first situation report was posted by the WHO on January 21, 2020.

According to the World Health Organization’s(WHO’s) Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) Situation Report –52, As of March 12, 2020, there have been 3,173 deaths in China, and 1,440 elsewhere (in multiple countries/territories (117), and on the cruise ship Diamond Princess). For the entire earth, then, this totals 4,613 deaths. Yesterday there had 4292 deaths.

It appears China has it off the worst over all, but that the rest of the world is getting “sicker quicker”; see the Situation Report -52 here.  Altogether (In & out of China),  there are 125,048 confirmed cases of the virus. This is scary.

According to the CDC, in 2017 the suicide statistics are as follows.;

All suicides

With 183 countries listed, the United States comes in number 27, according to the “world population review” website. See also W.P.R.’s source, W.H.O. Note: these two links list the USA per 100,00 as 15.3. According to the WHO site, this is apparently from 2016. So, if I am reading that correctly, we’re making progress. 😀

So, we compare (In 2017) over 47,000 deaths in the United States due to suicide, as compared to 4,613 COVID-19 deaths for the entire earth. Perhaps we need to just wash our hands and focus on mental health and family values….

Here is a really good article posted on the CNBC website, written by Jessica Bursztynsky on February 3, 2020; The flu has already killed 10,000 across US as world frets over coronavirus.

An excerpt of the article reads;

“In the U.S., it’s really a fear based on media and this being something new,” Dr. Jennifer Lighter, hospital epidemiologist at NYU Langone Health, said of the new coronavirus. “When in reality, people can take measures to protect themselves against the flu, which is here and prevalent and has already killed 10,000 people.”

The coronavirus outbreak, however, is proving to be more deadly than the flu. It has killed roughly 2% of the people who have contracted it so far, according to world health officials. That compares with a mortality rate of 0.095% for the flu in the U.S., according to CDC estimates for the 2019-2020 flu season. The CDC estimates that 21 million people will eventually get the flu this season.”

Under the “Key Points:” section, the CDC website (link for flu-related page I’m quoting) states that “CDC estimates that so far this season there have been at least 34 million flu illnesses, 350,000 hospitalizations and 20,000 deaths from flu.”

So, there are dangers in the world. Scary viruses, confusing political schemes, sad family situations…you name it. We just need to cast out fear in Yah’s name and live in His love, trusting Him. We need to take precautions and play it safe….but lets not all get OCD either. 😉

My Bride My King An Allegory-Chapter One

Rev 22:4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

MY Bride,

My king

–An allegory–

Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

Revelation 19:7

Author: Yah’s girl a.k.a.Uncertain One

Pre-face:

I know, you probably want to ‘get on’ with the story, but please read this brief overview and explanation first.

I began writing this story because I’m dealing with many of the same problems “My bride” deals with. I’m not ‘solved’; you may not be when you finish the book. But I hope it’ll be a diving board for you.

The main characters are Wise King, Pure{My King}, Uncertain One{My Bride}, Strong Believer, and Blessed Gem. Wise King is our Father in Heaven, Pure is our Saviour. Uncertain one is a legalistic believer, struggling for a true love for Pure. Strong Believer is Uncertain One’s Father. He is wise, and is faithful to Wise King and Pure. Blessed Gem, Uncertain One’s Mother, is kind and also a firm believer in Wise King and Pure.

Nearly every time I read over a chapter in this work, I ended up changin’ something. Even when I thought it was about right!

Now, you may feel you do not need to look up the verses I reference, but I highly recommend you do. Or you could read it once and look them up, then read it over. Why would I want you to? For two things. (1) you see where in the Bible the principles I discuss really are & (2) become certain on what I’m talking about. And if you do not find the principles as outlayed in this work, please DO question the ideas put forth, and let me know!

P.S. This isn’t real touchy on doctrine and is easy reading. Yet if you struggle like Uncertain One, It may be uncomfortable. And that feeling could grow. But if so it may help you change…for the better. To our Father be the glory.

Grow for the Father,

Yah’s girl a.k.a. Uncertain One

Grace and peace from our Father!

Be ye therefore very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the book of the law of Moses, that ye turn not aside therefrom to the right hand or to the left; That ye come not among these nations, these that remain among you; neither make mention of the name of their gods, nor cause to swear by them, neither serve them, nor bow yourselves unto them: But cleave unto [Wise King] your [Wise King], as ye have done unto this day. For [Wise King] hath driven out from before you great nations and strong: but as for you, no man hath been able to stand before you unto this day.” Joshua 23:6-9

But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the [Master Pure], to testify the gospel of the grace of [Wise King].” Acts 20:24

The battles raging within

Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of [Wise King]: but he that doeth evil hath not seen [Wise King].”3 John 1:11

Therefore thou shalt love [Wise King] thy [Heavenly Father], and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments, alway.” Deuteronomy 11:1

See Deuteronomy 4:40

Uncertain One Thinks about the man whom she is in contact with. He has asked her to marry Him. He loves her! Yet, she struggles to totally love Him.

As she considers her state, unexpected visitors arrive.

Uncertain One, a fair yet plain girl, sat at her mother’s kitchen table. Though slightly beyond the age most ladies marry, she was still single. Her mother, Blessed Gem, was nearby, stirring the porridge on the old pot-bellied stove. Uncertain One was comfortable and content. Yet, she was perplexed.

She was reading silently a letter she’d received from one, who’s surname was Everlasting. She paused and quizzed herself. Pure K. Everlasting. Residence, New Jerusalem. She knew He loved her. Tremendously! His letters emanated love and hope in every word. But where was her love for Him? She just wanted to please Him by her obedience. To impress Him, as if somehow she took Him as someone who only took her at face value. Someone that was picky about her behavior, to the extent He expected legalism. But this wasn’t true. All He really wanted was her whole heart. She continued reading the love-soaked letter.

He spoke of the love He had for her, and encouraged her to do right. He kindly spoke of how much He wished for her to love Him. He assured her His love would never end, that it was based on her real worth, not what most saw on her surface. They had corresponded for awhile by this time, and so He had already explained some of the ‘rules’ of His home, the standards He’d expect. They were obviously written in stone, but He did NOT want Uncertain One to follow, unless she had a desire and loved Him back. Did she?

Uncertain One paused her reading. So intense were her thoughts, she could not even smell her mother’s cooking and baking, being oblivious to her surroundings. Staring blankly, she thought: “How can He expect so much? Well, I must do everything exactly as He said. I will! But it isn’t easy. Can I do it? I would LOVE to obey every word if I loved Him as much as He loves me. Those standards are great. But CAN I make myself do so? With out working to love Him? Can I do it on my own? But- DO I want to give my life to this guy?”

Truly, He had shown her many things she must follow (obey), as she could bear them.1 He, “meek and lowly in heart”, was gentle, yet firm.2 But poor Uncertain One didn’t comprehend that He didn’t want her to obey on her own power. That wasn’t the point at all. Her growth was supposed to be a combined effort.

She sure did strive for His expectations. But she was learning, ever so slowly, that she could not do it on her own. She wanted to obey perfectly, indeed. She wanted control of the situation. But she was struggling, due to her lack-of-love.

She had afore-time stopped eating unclean meats,3 and began to pay tithe of all she had grown, bred, and of all her increase.4 Wise King and Pure were working on her heart!

Sadly she was, however, though only months into the relationship, already “weary in well doing”5. It was work! She wasn’t used to His rules. Why keep them anyways, if she didn’t love him? There were many questions within her.

1John 16:12 + 2Matthew 11:29 + 3Leviticus 11, Deuteronomy 14, 12:22-25, & 15:22,23 + 4Leviticus 27:30-34, Deuteronomy 14:22-29, 2 Chronicles 31:6 & Matthew 23:23 + 5Galatians 6:9, 2 Thessalonians 3:13

She remembered well His soft words; “Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.”

He continued, “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” 1

He was a light to her heart, and an uplifting thought to her days. Well, at least slightly. But how could she let HER light for HIM shine before men!? It was still rather frail. She thought she MUST be the “weakest of the weak”. She was so confused. Indeed, hard to be strong for a cause OR a man you barely know and hardly love!

Uncertain One’s parents were also a grand help. Pure had told her parents earlier; “Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.” 2

She had spoken of her dilemma to them a few times before. She presently brings it up again to her Mother. Blessed Gem takes the porridge off the stove, and sets it down to cool. She settles in a chair near Uncertain One at the table, and speaks. “Uncertain One, you can not truly be following Wise King and Pure’s commands without love for Pure and His Father. In fact, child, loving Him is one of His commands.” She smiled, but spoke with a serious tone in her voice.

1Matthew 5:13-16, 21 Thessalonians 5:14

Blessed Gem’s husband, Strong Believer, walks in, carrying an arm-full of wood. As he had over-heard a snatch of their conversation upon entering, and having sensed the situation, he reminds Uncertain One of Pure’s words, “If ye love me, keep my commandments.”1

“Uncertain One”, Blessed Gem added, “you must first love Him. He’s right about that. Why else wouldst you obey?”

Uncertain One, arising, said; “Thanks Father, Mother. I shall go mull this over for awhile yet again. Keep me posted on the mail, at least if it’s from Pure.”. She gave a slight smile.  They replied, “We will call you when breakfast is ready.”

As she lay on the davenport, she reflected again. She couldn’t see Him until a certain date, but she did not know the date.2 Yet, she must be ready by that time. For, ready or not, He would come to take her. Home, if she agreed. To everlasting death If she refused the invitation. She would be choosing that, as well.3

Suddenly, she was ‘awakened’ from her dreamy thoughts. There was a knock, then a voice floated in through the old oak door of the room. “Greetings, Uncertain One!” Uncertain One sat upright. “Oh, greetings!”, she exclaimed, surprised to have visitors. One lad and one lady, Brave and Sure Jewel, entered. She welcomed her friends in.

“Uncertain One”, Brave said, “We are here to speak with you, for we hear you are in contact with one, a man named Pure K. Everlasting.” “Indeed I am, in contact, that is!”, Uncertain One said, in an almost put-offish evasive manner.

Brave went way back with Pure, having met Him years before. Brave was wise, kind and very smart. Sure Jewel, also a good friend of Pure, was meek, sweet, and also wise.

Brave continued: “Well, Uncertain One, we simply wanted to advise you on a few points. We have met Pure, and are glad you are contemplating this important move. Now, guessing you assume, or even KNOW that He loves you, what would you think or feel if Pure failed to truly love you, or spurned you for another?” Uncertain One began to reply, but Brave cut her off, continuing.

1Deuteronomy 6:5, Psalms 116:1, 145:20, Matthew 22:37,Mark 12:30, 2Matthew 25:13, 3Mark 13:35 & Luke 12:40

You would feel betrayed, no matter HOW you felt about Him, likely. You would accuse Him of being a deceiver, a cheat. Am I correct?” “Well, yes, I suppose.” Uncertain One, wincing, replied. She had hardly thought of such vile possibilities!

Sure Jewel joined in. “Uncertain One, Uncertain One. How could you, then, knowing that, pose as His ‘sweet-heart’, if you thought YOU might do like wise, and make Him feel like that?” She paused for effect. “ If you are to marry Him, live with Him, obey Him, maybe DIE for Him, you had better love Him!”

“Well…” (Uncertain One replied, rather sheepishly.) “I do not know how YOU knew MY plight, but I do suppose you are correct. I thank you. I shall ponder your words!”

Brave and Sure Jewel departed and bid farewell: “We believe it is His spirit that sent us to you today. Your parents told us your situation on our way to your room. It is time for us to depart now. Our shop in town should open soon, Uncertain One. We best be on our way. Blessings, dearest.” They were glad they had done their part, yet anxiously awaited Uncertain One’s decision, and thus, destiny. “Blessings, and Thank-you”

“Uncertian One? Breakfast be served!” “Coming Mother!”

Not an Angel

I am not an angel. Yes, I have good in me, like everybody – but only because of Him.

Please don’t look at me and judge me as a crazy person, with wrong ideas.

But also, please don’t judge me as a perfect or smart person.

I have good. I have bad. I’m human, like you.

I mess up. A lot.

I have problems with love, compassion, patience, perseverance – and so on.

I don’t need to tell you all of my problems. But I also don’t want anyone to look at my blog and think I’m perfect – far from it. Maybe I have good ideas, but they then originate from God.

I am better than no one, although my pride tells me otherwise.

A lot of stuff I post is because I need to work on it, too. So don’t think, “Oh look at her judging…(This is very short) post. She must be good at not judging.” But instead, “Oh, look. She has to work on that too.”

Why did I write this? Because I have a lot to work on concerning my last post, Your Personal Purpose (as well as others!), plus I want to work on not being hypocritical.

And to be honest, I think you’ll like me for posting this. Sinful nature there…

Anyways, done with that rant.

Shabbat Shalom to you & yours!

-Yah’s girl

Your Personal Purpose

Some words to a Jewish song “One Day”, go like this; “Sometimes I lay under the moon and thank God I’m breathing. And  then I pray, “Don’t take me soon, cause I am here for a reason.””.

This is reminiscent of Mordecai’s words to Esther, “Perhaps you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this.”

We need not fear death with our purpose fulfilled. A boy once asked His Father why one of their family’s cows must die. “Son, this cow was born to feed us. He has lived a good life, we’ve treated him well. Once he is in the freezer, his life’s mission will be accomplished. His life fulfilled.

We are all created differently, with a specific purpose, with a goal we are bound to obtain, with Yahuwah at our side.

Yahusha the Saviour was born on earth to save the human race. Esther was born to save the Hebrews, her people, from the hate filled man, Haman – and his intended fate for them. Moses was born to free the Israelites from Egyptian bondage.

Does this mean that we are all going to do something huge? No; plus, pride shouldn’t be a part of our lives. (Not that I have room to talk.)

Cain didn’t save the world, although he was martyred. Thomas the disciple didn’t really get famous. Jonathan didn’t either, compared to David. So many patriarchs and Pastor’s wives have gone un-noticed, but have done their part to weave a legacy of truth and love – like Dorcas.

Small things are big too. For some of us, our mission is grand. Maybe we are the Thomas Paine of our day to inspire the masses. Or maybe we are the David Livingstons to spread the gospel far and wide. Perhaps we are the Esthers,  Gandhis, or Corrie Ten Booms, to free our country men.

Or maybe we are the Cains. We are not famous, at least in our day. Not a big figure. But still extremely important. Maybe you’re a Father or a Mother. You may not go down in history, but you will have greatly impacted someone’s life, perhaps giving them the ultimate gift – of knowing Yahuwah and Yahusha.

conquerors

What is your purpose?

Is your mission to help inner-city kids? To save helpless animal’s lives, and volunteer at an animal shelter? Maybe to reach out to homeless people and give them hope.  Maybe it’s your goal to be a missionary to North Korea (God knows they need them!). Or, to be a missionary right where you are?

Maybe you’re meant to speak out about people’s rights in your area. The right of choice about vaccines. About the rights of the unborn.

This is a time for action. This is the 1770s again.

Whatever your mission is, strive for it. Don’t give up. Listen to God, not to people. Work even when you are not appreciated, because Yahuwah always sees you. He should be why you’re really doing anything anyways. Push through the dry, boring patches. Life, and service, is not always fun and enjoyable.  Maybe you can’t even tell you’re doing anything. But there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Hope. Your life has meaning. You are special.

As the Bible says; “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.”  Ecc. 9:10

Pray. Find your passion, your reason for living. And go for it. Change someone’s world. MOVE. ACT.

To mis-quote Thomas Paine; (original quote)

THESE are the times that try men’s souls. The summer Bible-believer and the sunshine activist will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their world and God; but he that stands by it now, deserves the love and thanks of Yahuwah, man, and woman. Sin and hate, like hell, are not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph.

The Day…

One day, it came…

…so unexpectedly.

I wasn’t ready, mommy…

…but neither were you.

I was so scared, mommy…

…but so were you.

I faced my fears…

…please do so, too, mommy.

I took one step out into a new place…

…so did you, mommy.

But, what came next was not what I expected…

…neither did you, mommy.

That day I died…

…so did you, mommy.

No matter what, remember that I love you, mommy…

…and I know you really do too, mommy!!!

Abortion hurts both mother and child.

Why would ANYONE be ‘Vaccine-hesitant’?

At 1,263 words, this isn’t my shortest post ever. Yet, I believe it is important enough for you to read through. I guess I’ve hesitated to write on this topic for some time. I knew it is a very controversial subject. Maybe even hush-hush in some circles.. But mainly, I needed more research under my belt.

And I have acquired some more information. Either way however, I have had enough. Too many lies. Too much deception. Vaccinations is something we must do something about. And I’ve learned that first-hand.

Indeed, perhaps there is a reason hundreds – maybe thousands – of American men and women have refused to let vaccines be administered to their children.

Perhaps there is a reason for the sequence of events; A beautiful baby boy is born, gets a vaccination, and within days, months – or even hours – later, he gets sick. And then he grows up, autistic. Or, more rare, but still possible, he dies. Beautiful baby gone. (So we blame it on sids.)

1avids

Or maybe this little baby boy doesn’t get vaccinated for a few years after his birth, or receives them but does not have any adverse reactions to them. He then could receive the problematic vaccine at, say, the age of two years. There is the possibility that he will then regress. For example, if he was already talking, whether or not he had ever been vaccinated, he could now lose his vocabulary. It’s happened many times over. Far too many for you and I to ignore.

Of course, not every child who ‘gets their shot’ will contract a disease. But will we recognize that there is that risk? If you go a buffet for Dinner, and your waiter notifies you that most of the food has mercury and perhaps other problematic substances added to them, but adds; “Don’t worry, only 10% or so of the people who eat here have reactions to to the food, and only half that percentage die.”, would you feel comfortable eating there? Worse yet, would you tell all your friends and family to go there, also forcing your young children to eat there for their own safety?

Of course, it is fair to take into consideration that some things harm only specific people, like peanut butter, or pollen. I agree we don’t need to outlaw these. But there is a big difference between consuming ground peanuts (Grown in dirt; natural) versus consuming liquid metal (Perhaps harvested in the earth, but possibly manipulated, and definitely from the wrong side of the laboratory). Please tell me you would warn everyone you did or did not know against this restaurant, and would try to get it shut down!

I want to share a few videos of children affected by vaccines, many of them babies.

There are so many stories, I had to just pick a few. There are many videos like the following on the web. Plus, I’m sure not every child’s story is even published.

Luke- autism & beyond

Drew: before/after vaccination

Madison’s tale

One Mom researched before she even gave birth…

And the percentage of people with autism is growing.

How many by 2032?

How has this affected me, as I mentioned earlier? Well…

It (Autism; adverse reactions) doesn’t stop with people. When you go in to have your pet fixed, whether to be spayed or neutered, at least in my state, the rabies vaccine is mandatory. And since my family is crazy about caring for the animal world, we often foster drop-offs, and foster pups in need from our local shelter. And we don’t think it’s fair to the animals to have 10 litters of offspring, half-starved themselves. So we get them fixed.

At least we used to. But not any more; not until the rabies vaccine is no longer mandatory.

On the way home from a long trip, we saw two kittens in the woods. We pulled over and caught them. One got a home within a month or so, but the other -who we named Fannie Fae- simply didn’t. Finally, when Fannie was old enough, we took her to the Veterinary to be spayed/fixed, along with a second kitty, Dot. When we took them home, we put them in a cage for a few days for their recovery. We didn’t really notice anything ‘off’ since animals are always a bit drowsy after this type of surgery.

Once we let her out, after two or three days, she played some, coming over to where we were busy at. However, during the next few days, she declined, to the point that she wouldn’t get out of bed, unless, maybe if we took her out.

Quite concerned, we took her back to the Vet’s. After stating it could not be the vaccine (“I’ve never heard of that.”), the Veterinarian said something along the lines of; “…Sometimes it so happens that an animal can be just fine before the surgery, but the stress of it all gets their system whacked, and what’s been under the surface arises. It could be a viral infection. You may want to leave her here for a few days, we could give her antibiotics…It would cost around $200-$300…” The problem is, my Grandmother who accompanied us (and was a Registered Nurse for many years) knew full well that you don’t give antibiotics for a viral infection. And we just weren’t about to, in our mind, pump our ‘little butterfly’ full of chemicals again.

The Vet’s helper told us “It’s just like when your child gets a vaccination. He might have a reaction, but nothing much.” Well, I half agree. It is like giving a child a vaccine, but that may lead to something a bit more than “a reaction”. So we went down to the health food store.

We gave her a lot of homeopathic medicine, but apparently not in time. She slowly became paralyzed, scarcely being able to move her back legs. It kinda felt quick rather than slow, as we helped her walk down the hall, “exercising” the little Fannie that had never needed much help to run after acorns in the yard. On january 7, she died in her sleep. I am thankful to Yahuah that I had kissed her darling little head 7 times the night before.

However, she she did NOT die in vain. We have started a petition, aimed at Merial, the company that manufactures the rabies vaccine she received. 783 have signed. Will you help us get to 1,000? It IS possible.

to keep, or not to keep – christmas?

I posted this last year, but wanted to edit it. Here’s the re-newed post.

Why do you keep christmas? How do you keep it? Where did your traditions come from?

I personally have not kept x-mas for a few years now. I know that’s odd, so don’t worry- I’m gonna explain. But how did this come about, me not keeping it? We never were quite “normal” – My family had always made each other gifts, besides the store-bought presents. And we always read Luke chapter 2 before we ripped into the gifts. Then things slowly began to change.

First we said we’d try an ALL-homemade xmas. Then we decided we’d just celebrate it a month or so later, because we could buy the on-sale items – and celebrate cheaper.

After a while, we said, “Forget it! This is silly!!”. He didn’t even get born this day, did he? Yes, I can hear you now. Whoa!! Slow down!  What are you talking about? The children love  x-mas! We couldn’t take that away from them! And- and what about the true meaning? The greatest gift ever?!

If you had told me what I’m saying right now a few years ago, I may have thought you were crazy. I’m just sayin’, I know a little where you are coming from.

Whoa!! Slow down!  What are you talking about?” O.k. I’ll slow down, at least as long as that includes answering your other questions. Thanks for asking. And if you have more, just air them out in the comments!

“The children love x-mas! We couldn’t take that away from them!” Yup, x-mas is FUN!! But let me clarify…what do you mean? Quit lying to them about santa claus? Quit letting them be selfish? I’m all for it.

Plus, perhaps we could exchange christmas with a Biblical celebration like the Israelites kept? Like Passover, or Tabernacles. (For starters, seeExodus 12,  Leviticus 23 and  Zechariah 14:16)

What about the true meaning?”  Great question! The birth of the Messiah is truly very important. It must be remembered! Very important. But, as much as we strive to go back to the “roots” of christmas, we have a very hard time – always coming back to the lights, presents, and so on. Family is important, but so is the shopping. Hmmm. This makes one wonder, whether the Saviour’s birth is really where this holiday came from. Do we actually put up a tree to remember his birth? Are all the elves in the front yard the true symbol of the wise-men? Do we ask for presents because of that one, ultimate gift? I’ll be giving y’all some links on this subject!

I want to give y’all some more Bible verses, and then I will give you a few links as to the origins of this holiday.

First of all, and mainly, I should quote from Jeremiah 10, verses 1-12, where it appears erecting trees in our houses connotates a very bad thing to Yahuwah. (Unfamiliar with that name? Yahuwah is “God”. Click the links below for more info!) The most important is the bold part, if your in a time crunch.

Unchecked Copy Box Jer 10:1 “Hear ye the word which [Yhwh] speaketh unto you, O house of Israel:
Thus saith [Yhwh], Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good. Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O [Yhwh]; thou art great, and thy name is great in might. Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee. But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities. Silver spread into plates is brought from Tarshish, and gold from Uphaz, the work of the workman, and of the hands of the founder: blue and purple is their clothing: they are all the work of cunning men. But [Yhwh]is the true [Elohiym], he is the living [Elohiym], and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation. Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens. He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.”
2 Kings 16:2-4 “Twenty years old was Ahaz when he began to reign, and reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem, and did not that which was right in the sight of the [Yahuwah] his [Elohiym], like David his father. But he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, yea, and made his son to pass through the fire, according to the abominations of the heathen, whom [Yahuwah] cast out from before the children of Israel. And he sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places, and on the hills, and under every green tree.”

Could the most heart-warming holiday also be the cruelest? “The History of Christmas”
Wow, I’m only about 14(out of 29) minutes in, but this is really good stuff! Shocking but true- “Is christmas christian?”

An open confession;

“I have kept this holiday, I confess. I am sorry I did not understand you earlier, all of you who I’ve heard say you don’t keep christmas. I did not pause to consider. I want to have an open mind, unlike I did then.

“Yahuah, I have mocked you. This holiday still sounds fun, but I will not observe it; I will keep your pure Holy days, rather than the world’s holidays. Help me to learn from your Feasts. Also, please Help me, Yhwh to learn & grow & be truly sorry for this, one among many things I have done wrong!! Through your grace. HalleluYah!!”

There is a lot more info out there. That was my 2 cents.
See my post; “Is it okay to feast with the Father-updated” for more info on His Holy days!
Shalom; thanks for reading!

Have Faith

Faith is a journey that stretches you, challenges you, and most importantly, gives you hope. Without faith in Yhwh, there is no better life that lies beyond this one. Life is just a cosmic accident, ruled by unguided processes or chance. Where is the meaning in that? The feeling at the bottom of the bottle is worse than before. The drug must be stronger to ease the emptiness. Surely, we can find individual some superficial meaning, but eventually, most people get to the end of that rope quickly.

What do you find at the end of that rope? If not Yhwh, then you will try to hold on to the rope in a futile attempt to keep yourself from falling. Yet, your hands will tire and you must release your grip on it. When that happens, to what do you descend upon? If not Yhwh, then the place where you land can be a tenuous one that tosses you about from the winds of change that life ultimately brings. But when you place your faith in God, you fall onto a firm foundation, one built on the knowledge of Yhwh and the experience of His love for you. That is the best place to land in this journey called life.

I slightly altered this from some good thoughts out of the blog https://thinkdivinely.com/loving-the-unseen-god/

The life of the believer

should be based in both

the knowledge of Yah’s provable existence

& knowing

His love.

Shalom for now,
