Yesh Tikvah. One of my favorite phrases. Translation?
There is hope.
You might be down in the dumps. You may think all hope is lost. (Like Job did.
Job 6:11) You may feel
you are lost. You may be suffering right now. Well, you know what? You ain’t alone!
Yahusha our Saviour suffered. Think of His whole life. His childhood years, His ministry years…the Mount of Olives, particularly. And He said that if the world hated Him, it would hate us, too. John 7:7, 15:18 , 1John3:13
Grab onto the hope you got. Cling to Yahuah and His Son. That’s written to you and me.
My family is going through some stuff; thank Yah we have each other. (Prayers, plz.) But the soul needs some hope. In Yahuah, we can have it.
Honestly, I’m a Thomas. A doubter. So times like these can be great for me in that they force me to not only pray more, but forget that stuff and rely on Yahuah.
What can you be learning from your problems?
We tend to try and work things out so we can rely on ourselves, me included. Like any 5 year-old. Whether or not they do it for the right reason, they simply can not make supper all by themselves.
We can hire people to do what Yahuah can do(i.e.lawyers working on our behalf)..but only sort of. No one can do as good a job as He.
After a step back, it’s like, “Oh yes, He’s in charge. He owns it all. He knows our troubles. Only He can solve this matter perfectly.” So why not give it to Him now?
We think we have great ideas, great solutions, and that “we can handle it”. Seriously?!
Now, who wants to stop all that and let Yahuah work?
If you don’t feel hopeful, you know how Job felt. If you search “hope” in the online Scriptures, you’ll find Job was not hopeful most of the time; see also Proverbs 14:32. So that’s okay, sometimes we get un-hopeful. (‘Cuz yes, there are many scriptures discussing “no hope”…) We’re human. But if we can cling to our hope, HalleluYah!
If you think there is hope, if that’s where you’re at right now, I recommend you see the below verses.
“hope” occurs 130 times in 121 verses in the KJV.
And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety.-Job 11:18
Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. -Psalms 16:9
Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Yahuah. –Psalms 31:24
The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death.-Proverbs 14:32
“We tend to try and work things out so we can rely on ourselves” Oh you got me! Right on the mark! I’m terrified of relying on anyone else for something important. I hate being vulnerable, you know? So I try to handle life on my own. Just today Yahweh brought me to the point – again – where I had to throw up my hands and admit that it’s all too much for me. I’m weak; I’m vulnerable, no matter how much I try and fight it. I guess I’m learning that that’s okay; that’s how it’s supposed to be. Yahweh made us to depend on and hope in him.

If it was all us, we wouldn’t need him!
Thank you for your great points.
Why is it that the uncomfortable stuff is always what we need to think about?! I mean, yes, I know; we grow & learn etc. But uncomfy stuff is…uncomfy. Oh, we need you, Yahuah!
Thanks so much for commenting! Shalom & Yesh Tikvah!
